About Oxygen Gas

Oxygen (O₂) is a colorless, odorless, nonflammable gas that makes up approximately 21% of Earth's atmosphere. Although it does not burn, oxygen is a powerful oxidizing gas that significantly accelerates combustion when combined with combustible materials.

Oxygen has a gaseous specific gravity of 1.1 and a boiling point of -297.3°F (-183°C). Commercial oxygen is produced through air separation using cryogenic liquefaction and distillation or Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) technology. Depending on application requirements, oxygen is supplied as compressed gas or as a cryogenic liquid.

Its strong oxidizing properties make oxygen an essential industrial gas for metal fabrication, oxy-fuel cutting, welding, heating, chemical processing, petroleum production, and healthcare applications.

Oxidizer Performance

Oxygen Gas Applications

Oxygen supports metalworking, thermal processing, chemical production, healthcare, and other industrial operations.

Oxy-Fuel Cutting

Used with acetylene and other fuel gases to produce high-temperature flames for cutting carbon steel and heavy metal sections.

Welding & Fabrication

Supplied for welding, brazing, heating, scarfing, flame straightening, hardening, cleaning, and other metalworking operations.

Medical Oxygen

Medical-grade oxygen supports respiratory therapy and healthcare environments requiring regulated oxygen delivery systems.

Chemical & Petroleum

Used in chemical manufacturing and petroleum processing for producing synthesis gas from coal, natural gas, and liquid fuels.

Industrial Systems

Available for manufacturing facilities requiring compressed gas cylinders, oxygen gas supply systems, cryogenic storage, and continuous support.
